Stratiformis clouds – definition


Stratiformis clouds is a cloud Species which spread out in an extensive horizontal sheet or layer of separate or merged elements.

They are seen in Altocumulus, the most frequently occurring species, Stratocumulus  and, occasionally, Cirrocumulus clouds.
